Thanksgiving Dinner at Orkla Hotel

Friday 20. November 1RMA celebrated Thanksgiving at Orkla Hotel. They prepared a traditional meal of a very tasty pumpkin soup as starters. Fried turkey served with sweet potatoes, red cabbage, sourkraut and a delicious gravy as the main course and chocolate pie with whipped cream for dessert.

Everything was very delicately prepared and served. The setting was perfect - the old and traditional guest residence for the mining company Orkla.
The table was dressed in white and the tableware old and traditional, evertything with a hint of the upcoming Christmas holiday with red candles and napkins.

As the English teacher it warmed my heart that the students had found and translated the recipies themselves and indeed prepared an introduction telling us about the origin and celebration of Thanksgiving.

It was an honour to be invited and participate on this special occation.
