Transport and logistics are important conditions for modern society to function as it does today. The program gives you technical skills within traffic, transport and logistics, and as a certified logistic operator you are qualified to work all over the world.
In order to be admitted as a student at Program for Transport and Logistics, you must have graduated from Vg1 Program for Service and Communication, or Vg1 Program for Technology and Industrial Production.
After Vg 2, Program for Transport and Logistics, you can decide if you want to continue your studies and become a commercial driver, or a logistic operator. After 2 years as an apprentice, you have the opportunity to graduate with a certificate of completed apprenticeship of the subject of your choice.
For those who choose to study Commercial Transportation, training for a driver’s license in classes C and CE, or classes D and DE in personal transportation, all classes are in accordance with current driver’s license regulations. Driver’s license, class B, is funded by Meldal Upper Secondary School with a small amount.
Studying to become a Logistic Operator here at Meldal Upper Secondary School, certified teachers will provide tutoring in achieving a certificate as a forklift driver, and knowledge in handling dangerous goods, ADR. After graduation you can continue studying logistics at various colleges.
Meldal Upper Secondary School has announced a Vg 1 Program for Service and Communication as part of its curriculum, however, this subject will be taught at Orkdal Upper Secondary School.
